On Reflection at 80

"At 80, the real value of what a man has lived for becomes clear. There are men who look back filled with regret. For Dr Ogunbiyi, the story is different: 'I am grateful that I have not hit the rocks and have not made a shipwreck of my life and faith. I am not perfect. No one is. But I thank God when I look at my children and grandchildren... I rejoice.'"

On Fatherhood as a Calling

"Dr Ogunbiyi is widely known as 'Baba' — not on account of his age, but because people were drawn to his fatherly heart, love, humility and care. He believes that just as he has a clear job description as an obstetrician and gynaecologist, he also has one as a father: a leader, a guiding light, a mentor to all God brings his way. To him, fatherhood is a sacred call and a serious divine duty — a legacy he wants to leave behind, the true definition of manhood. His daughter Bunmi puts it simply: 'Baba is a towering strength, and the house is built on the lessons he taught and lived out.'"
